There are many great Do It Yourself projects on the the internet for marine / reef keeping. The problem is that there are many great Do It Yourself projects on the the internet! They are scattered far and wide on great forums like reefcentral.com and others. Searching for them take many more hours than the actual project by many times.

This site aims to help bring the many DIY projects that really shine into one easy to reference & browse place. Yes there are other sites that do this as well, however they mostly catalog links. Unfortunately some get lost in time as their owners move from provider/hosts to other provider/hosts or lose interest and let the pages fall by the wayside. Another downside is there is only one person responsible for the maintaining the page of the project. Most of the time this is all that is needed, other times it would be nice to have someone else help edit or maintain the information.

This site can be a living archive for DIY projects and information. This site can become a one stop for the marine DIY'er How? By submitting and editing DIY Articles and by creating and maintaining wikis?. Please contribute any DIY articles that you have done or come across on the net. Submitting is easy and everything you need to know can be found in the Tutorials. We also need help in creating and maintaining the tutorials and other pages.

Please be patient, this site is in it's infancy and will most likely go through many growing pains. I will start adding projects in the days and weeks to come and I hope you will do so as well.
